It helps determine whether content can be public, whether it needs additional context, or whether it should be restricted.
Why It Matters
Section titled “Why It Matters”Sensitivity level supports public trust and careful interpretation. It helps records avoid treating all objects as equally simple, neutral, or appropriate for every audience.
How to Read It
Section titled “How to Read It”A sensitivity level may consider:
- whether the material is low-sensitivity educational content
- whether it involves biological material
- whether cultural, ethical, or personal concerns may apply
- whether images require additional context
- whether public access should be limited
Teaching Use
Section titled “Teaching Use”Ask students why a teaching skeleton model, digital diagram, and sensitive specimen record may need different levels of explanation and access.
